You can send money to or request money from a friend, even if they don’t have a Venmo account at the time you send the payment, using their email address or mobile number.
If the friend does not have a Venmo account, they can claim the payment by opening a Venmo account.
Does stripe report to IRS?
If you receive more than $20,000 through Stripe in a single year, or payments (regardless of total amount) from more than 200 payors, Stripe will file a Form 1099-K return with the IRS, reporting the total amount received. This is a requirement for all third-party payment brokering services, not just Stripe.
Can you delete venmo transaction history?
On the app, navigate to Settings -> Privacy and under Past Transactions select your preference. This is permanent and we cannot undo this action. Please note that private payments and purchases will remain private even if you select “Limit to Friends”. On the web, first, log in to venmo.com.
